Engraved title page, separate title for second part with Blaeu's device, two woodcut initials. 12mo (140 x 85mm). Contemporary vellum over pasteboard, covers and spine with triple blind fillets, upper cover stamped with 'CG 1660', red edges (minor wear). Amsterdam, Ioannis Blaeu, Attractive copy of Thomas Farnaby's annotated edition of Juvenal, first published in 1612, one of several editions of Latin authors which made the schoolmaster's name and one of over twenty issues of this work (Graesse). With the Latin text, in italic, surrounded by Farnaby's notes. 'CG 1660' stamped on upper cover, initials of Cristian Geider, whose name is inscribed on the title page; "Melchior Geider" inscribed on front paste-down, alongside later ownership inscriptions.
