A propos de cet article

Three volumes from a very scarce series covering transport developments across Britain, from a leading builder of steam wagons. First formed in 1915 at Shrewsbury, after splittiing from Alley and Macellen, Sentinel Waggon Works dominated the steam market in the 1920s and 30s along with Foden, buidling a number of steam wagons that would later be replaced by steam trucks. The periodical offers an intriguing timeline of developements that have occured in British transport, with these three volumes focusing on 1923-1925, years of rapid growth in the industry. While the company became defunct in the 1960s, periodicals exist post 2000. Externally, mostly smart, with slight fading, heavier to VIII, and the odd small mark. Slight bumping to the heads and tails of the spines, and to the extremities, and light rubbing to joints of VIII. End papers are generally bright and clean with the odd small spot, heavier browning to VIII end papers, with front free end paper stuck to pastedown, with small signs of grazing. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and mostly clean with slight age toning to leaf extremities, and marginal browning to first couple and final leaves of VIII and X. Very Good.…
