"Woohoo! ...We soared across the snow, past the water pump, the milkhouse, and the mill until at last we came to a stop at the edge of the meadow."

An invitation to go sledding with Grandpa comes with sparkling eyes and brings joyful, old-fashioned fun. But the snow-covered farm also provides a place for awe and wonder- at creation, and the curious sayings of grown-ups.

Based on the author's life, and coupled with beautiful and accurate paintings, this story is one for readers of all ages.

Sarah Martin was raised on the farm pictured in the story, where she made countless memories with her siblings and cousins. Now as an elementary school teacher she also enjoys sledding and marveling at creation with her students. Through her work Sarah desires to invite others to reflect on life's beauty. Sarah lives in Lancaster County, PA and often returns to the family farm to visit
