What reviewers are saying about Social Welfare: Politics and Public Policy:

“One of the positive strengths of this text is an emphasis on appropriate research and current trends in the area being discussed. In particular, the material on child support enforcement is some of the best that can be found. Give the reputation of the author as a top-notch researcher, this carries over and is evidenced in the text.”
—Stephen C. Anderson, Ph.D., The University of Oklahoma

“It is an excellent overview and introduction to this broad topic Social Welfare policy and programs, and provides essential basic information, as well as brief histories of the types of debates and controversies that have occurred in each of the various topic areas covered.”
