Description: William Wilfred Walter (1869-1941) was raised Catholic, and was later deeply involved with Christian Science. He wrote prolifically, and began teaching his own ''Walter Method of Christ Science'', calling his teachings the ''Science of Eschatology'', claiming (as did Mary Baker Eddy) that this was taught by Jesus. However, Walter, unlike Eddy, rejected Christianity but never founded a church. He also believed in various phenomena such as telekinesis and that even old age and death might be conquered by psychic abilities. His works include two series of booklets -- the Common Sense Series, and the Plain Talk Series. Books include The Pastor's Sons, The Arbiter of Your Fate, The Healing of Pierpont Whitney, The Unknown God (two volumes), Metaphysical Bible Lessons, and more.
