Pages can include considerable notes--in pen or highlighter--but notes cannot obscure the text. An acceptable condition book. The spine cover is totally absent, as is the FFEP and halftitle page. The title page has a significant crack to the guttering that exposes the netting and makes the front board fairly loose. The rear board is attached fine, and the boards themselves only show light knocks. There is another notable crack to the guttering at the book centre but all pages remain secure. Illustrated with tipped-in photographs, mostly of dear heads and trophies, one (of mounted fish) in colour, & one of the advertisements in colour, illustrations. Grey/brown paper-covered pictorial boards. Recently rebacked with most of original spine lettering (stating "Spicer's Stalking Records, 1914) laid on. A very good strong copy. Includes a review of the 1913 stalking season and articles on stalking (by H. Frank Wallace and Gilbert H. Spicer), and on taxidermy and sporting rifles. The tipped-in plates of heads and trophies by Spicer are particularly striking. Includes one page "On Fish Modelling," and one page with two tipped-in colour photographs of mounted fish, and a single page "Game Fish Register." . N° de réf. du vendeur 50065
