Lyons is a Consulting Systems Engineer and Lecturer with Besser Associates in Mountain View, California, and has been the lead hardware engineer for numerous multimillion-dollar signal processing systems for both the National Security Agency (NSA) and TRW, Inc. He delivers digital signal processing seminars and training courses at technical conferences as well as to leading industry companies. He is a Member of IEEE and Eta Kappa Nu, and is Associate Editor of IEEE Signal Processing Magazine, where he created and edits the "DSP Tips & Tricks" column.
