Synopsis
Job Stress, Employee Engagement & Job performance has been acquiring increasing significance to enhance organizational performance in the present competitive era. It acquires even greater significance in the post-globalization era after elimination of geo-political barriers from across the world, facilitating free mobility of goods and services worldwide. Therefore, every organization strives to enhance Employee Engagement & Job performance among its executives and employees to keep afloat and grow in state fierce competition. a dilemma whether Job Stress dampens engagement or anxiety and pressure of job loss enhances engagement. Because proper blend of stress-alleviating and engagement-enhancing interventions has to be properly designed to secure utmost engagement so, in this study Job Stress has also been studied with a specific purpose of discerning reciprocity between Job Stress and Work Engagement. In the light of this, the present study entitled, "A Study on Relationship between Job Stress, Employee Engagement & Job Performance in Private General Insurance Companies".
This study is undertaken in order to understand the reciprocal relationship between stress and the effects related with it. Stress is the basic component or element in the life of every human being. It is such an element which comes up with so many other negative components. General insurance sector is one of the sectors where the employees have to work hard to build new customers and retain the old ones which is definitely not an easy task and such pattern of work definitely causes stress. But there is a huge difference between the stress level in public sector general insurance and private sector general insurance business as the basic policy of these two companies differ from each other in nature. Also, the component that causes stress among the employees' relationship between job stress and its impact on Job performance, employee engagement among private general insurance sector. Research is conducted to serve a diverse range of purposes such as enhancing the knowledge of the researcher, developing theories and revising facts. It is a device that helps in choosing and performing the research work and research design.

She has started her journey as a teacher and gradually worked as Principal in a CBSE Boarding School for ten years. Recently opened a boarding guest house. The aim of this guest house facility is to provide a healthy environment and food to our future generation so that the youth who head out of their home for higher education can give their participation in progress of the country healthily. Dr. Jasmine Datta has two children, a son and a daughter. Along with this, she has published more than ten research papers.
