À propos de l?auteur: Malcolm J. Walker: Educator, Leader, AdvocateMalcolm J. Walker's life is a powerful example of how education and community service can shape lives and uplift others. Born in Shepherd, a rural community in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Malcolm was raised with a deep respect for learning. He attended historically Black schools during segregation and earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in History from Tennessee State University. His passion for writing and public speaking began in high school and led to a career in education, including roles as a classroom teacher, vice-principal, and director of diversity programs. He also coordinated Rev. Jesse Jackson's PUSH FOR EXCELLENCE initiative. Beyond education, Malcolm is a committed community leader, serving as President of the Shepherd Community Action Council, where he organizes beautification projects and cultural activities. Though unpublished, his writing and leadership continue to inspire. Malcolm's story is one of resilience, purpose, and a lifelong dedication to empowering others.

Paperback. Etat : new. Paperback. Walter Caldwell Robinson: A Legacy of EmpowermentBorn in 1893 to sharecroppers in Alabama, Walter Caldwell Robinson rose from humble beginnings to become a trailblazing businessman, political leader, and publisher of the Chattanooga Observer. His life is a testament to resilience, vision, and the power of community leadership. During the era of segregation, Robinson became a driving force for Black empowerment-organizing voters, influencing elections, and using his platform to amplify voices that were often silenced. Through his newspaper, he educated and mobilized his community, challenging injustice and advocating for progress. Robinson's journey from the cotton fields to political influence is both inspiring and historically significant. This book captures the essence of his legacy, offering readers a powerful narrative of determination, leadership, and the enduring fight for equality. It's not just a biography-it's a celebration of a man who helped shape the future for generations to come. This item is printed on demand.
