Sustainable Materials in Supercapacitors: New Developments in Green Energy Storage investigates green materials-based supercapacitors, considering not only their fundamental characteristics but also implications of their use at industrial scales. The book focuses on the special synthesis techniques, applications, and commercial challenges associated with green supercapacitors. The book sets out the components and performance-governing parameters of green supercapacitors and identifies the challenges and limitations involved in their implementation. It is split into three parts: the first part extensively covers the fundamentals of green supercapacitors, the second part looks at applications, and the final part presents case studies and considers future developments.

Ananthakumar Ramadoss is a Scientist at the Advanced Research School for Technology & Product Simulation (ARSTPS), Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET), Chennai, India. He has over 15 years of research expertise in developing various nanostructured materials for applications in supercapacitors, nanogenerators, self-powered systems, 3D printing, thin films, corrosion protection, and bio-implants. He has over 100 research publications in peer-reviewed journals, >25 book chapters and edited 1 book with renowned international publishers. Also, he has received various awards (>15), prestigious fellowships (Humboldt Post-Doctoral Fellowship), and a Top 2% Scientist. In addition, he has completed and ongoing various sponsored projects in the respective areas.

Dr Kalim Deshmukh is a senior researcher at the New Technologies-Research Centre, University of West Bohemia, Pilsen, Czech Republic. He has over 20 years of research experience working with a wide variety of nanomaterials and polymeric materials, especially polymer blends, nanocomposites, and nanohybrids for various applications. His research interest is mainly focused on the synthesis, characterization, and property investigations of novel polymer nanocomposites reinforced with different nanofillers, including various nanomaterials including carbon-based materials such as carbon black, carbon nanotubes, graphene and its derivatives and MXenes for energy storage, energy harvesting, gas sensing, EMI shielding and high-k dielectric applications.

Chaudhery Mustansar Hussain is an Adjunct Professor and Director of Laboratories in the Department of Chemistry & Environmental Sciences at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), United States. His research focuses on nanotechnology and advanced materials applications, environmental management, analytical chemistry, and related industries. Dr. Hussain has authored numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals and is a prolific book author and editor, including scientific monographs and handbooks in his fields of expertise.
