A propos de cet article

8vo. An attractive two-volume early printing of one of the most important philosophical treatises of the 19th century. "Mill revised the original work several times over the course of thirty years in response to critiques and commentary by Whewell, Bain, and others." - wiki Two volumes complete. Square bindings. Paper at hinges just starting. Clean interiors, save for contemporary 1861 ownership signatures, and a few notations at the back of each volume. Mild rubbing and edge wear. Spine ends frayed. Paper title labels on spines rubbed and scuffed and difficult to read, but present. Each volume presents handsomely in a clear, archival mylar dust jacket.…
