An early 19th century collection of prose and poetry, subtitled "A Bouquet of Literature and The Very good Arts - Illustrated with Splendid Engravings". Half green leather, marbled boards, gilt decoration to spine and black title label. Boards plus spine fully attached to each other but detached from text block, edgeworn and scuffed, spine sunned. Text block attached to backstrip, binding secure, all edges browned/marbled. Owner name/date (1840) to half-title page, plates and title page heavily foxed, scattered foxing and small marks elsewhere but overall internally clean and well preserved. vi, 312 pp; 8 b&w plates (including frontis) plus illustrated title page.
