Eighth Edition, undated, with 1917 date to verso title page. Octavo, pp. 394. Vignette to title page and numerous line drawings within text; no frontispiece (as issued). Publishers' scarlet cloth with black titles to spine and upper board, in unclipped pictorial dust-jacket. Spine lightly creased and a little rubbed at tips; contents clean with no annotation or inscriptions. Jacket lightly toned to white panels, with nicks & creases to edge and associated small loss; tape repairs to reverse at tail of spine. A very Good copy in like jacket. Fourth title in the Tarzan series of adventure stories, first published in six parts in All-Story Weekly magazine, then in book form by McClury & Co. in 1917.
