Sister Thea Bowman spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ as only an African American born in 1937 in Yazoo City, Mississippi, could. As a child, Thea Bowman converted to Catholicism, and as an adult chose a life as a Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration. À propos de l'auteur: Maurice J. Nutt, CSsR, DMin, holds a doctorate of ministry degree in preaching from Aquinas Institute of Theology and is a noted revival, mission, and retreat preacher both nationally and internationally. Father Nutt is also a faculty member at the Institute for Black Catholic Studies (IBCS) at Xavier University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he taught preaching from 2014-2017. He was appointed by Bishop Kopacz of the Diocese of Jackson to promote the cause of canonization of Sister Thea Bowman.
