A positive story about a young boy learning to cope with his non-preferred daily routines. All the Things I Do Not Like is part of the series, Kind Words and Calm Minds: The Matteo series. A children's book in which each page illustrates the complexities of managing structured tasks (e.g., dinner, bedtime) in the busy stages of early childhood and how simple things such as allowing for movement breaks can lessen the demands for the entire family. The author highlights how fleeting early childhood can be and how soon the toddler that is chasing a sibling in the kitchen will become a child with the ability to narrate stories, put himself to bed and remain seated at the table.
