Etat de la jaquette : Dust Jacket Included
xiv, 224pp, hundreds of maps, photos, diagrams etc (incl colour) Cloth, 31x22. Dust wrapper present. Head and tail of spine slightly pulled, cloth lightly sun-marked. Wrapper significantly chipped, with missing pieces from spine, front, back. Contents good, with some slight waviness to tops of pages. Owner's name on ffep. The famous Buchanan Report. British cities should be redesigned to accommodate the motor car. The report naturally had important conservation implications. Buchanan's ideas are still valuable and we find an interest in this volume worldwide. However, the author's segregation ideas now seem to be counter to current thinking on shared space and traffic calming ideas. Also a striking example of 1960s book production.
