Soft cover. Etat : Very Good. 1st Edition. Gowan. Northridge, California. 1975. 448 pages. Wraps. First edition; first printing. Self-published for the Creative Education Foundation as a text for the 21st Annual Creative Problem-Solving Institute, Buffalo, New York, June 1975. Mustard-colored covers with black titles. Binding and hinges are strong and sound. Minimal light soiling. Gowan, a noted psychologist, had an interest in psychic phenomena as it relates to human creativity. Inspired by the writings of Aldous Huxley and Carl Jung, Gowan developed a model of mental development that derived from the work of Jean Piaget and Erik Erikson, but further theorized an individual's ability to tap-into mystical states of consciousness. This is first introduced in his now classic text Trance, Art, & Creativity. Gowan would also be responsible for creating the Northridge Developmental Scale; a self-actualization test to test your self?-transcendence. A better than VG copy. N° de réf. du vendeur 002228
