It begins with the first immigrants to arrive well over 15,000 years ago who traveled across a land bridge from Siberia to Alaska. The battles continued into the twentieth century - but only on the cultural and language front between the French and English. À propos de l'auteur: Robert Bothwell was born in Canada, educated at Harvard and is Professor of History at the University of Toronto. He has written many books, ranging from the problems of Atomic Energy to Canadian foreign relations.
