The brown cloth boards are decorated in browns, blacks and purple with the lettering in black on the front board and spine. The edges and spine ends show wear, e.g. the spine ends soft and the corners slightly bumped. There are also several small brown spots on the front cover, and two small indentations on the back cover. The end papers are decorated and the gutters are intact. Internally this book is clean and bright. There are 14, including the title page and frontispiece, color plates which are not counted in the 157 pages, as well as, three additional pages related to the text, publishing and illustrated.the information on one of the pages indicates this volume was translated from Latin by Robert de Borron and Luces de Gast. The illustrations for volume were completed by Evelyn Paul. In addition to the color plates there are black-and-white illustrations throughout the volume, as well as, decorations in brown. The dust wrapper is present but is in two pieces, the front cover has separated from the spine cover and back panel.
