1968 printing of the first edition of Hoffer's famous analysis of the causes of mass movements, religious conversion and other social phenomena. The book has sound hinges and does not lean. It shows very little wear of any kind except on the top and bottom edges of covers and spine, which are slightly mottled and have a couple of tiny holes from insects. "AIE" is also written at the top of the front pastedown (inside front cover). All else is clean and looks like new. The book's dust jacket is price-clipped. It is very clean but has some wear to edges and seams including some small chips and tears. It has been put in a clear archival sleeve to keep it looking good.
