A propos de cet article

Collectible, gift quality hardcover in beige cloth covered boards showing lightly bumped spine ends and four sharp tips. Duo-tone illustrated endpapers show the dogs eyeing a horse out on the plains with their owners and stagecoach nearby. Not exlib, no names, tears or soil in the crisp, tight 236pp text. Book has a b/w illustrated frontispiece of Trueboy fighting a large owl, and the endpapers but no other illustrations. Appears unread. Original, un-clipped color illustrated dust wrapper has negligible color loss/rubbing at lower tips, still shows beautifully in new mylar. Trueboy - a huge, black dog, and as fast and loyal as they come. Yet the day arrived when the call of the wild was too strong even for him. From that day on Trueboy found himself pitted against the wilderness and the killer instincts of his timberland enemies. Tracked by mountain lions, caught in the steel jaws of a wolf trap, all but blinded by the lightning attack of a lynx, the courageous dog fought hard to survive overwhelming odds. Yet his greatest enemy was a cattle killing gray wolf known and feared as Old Roarer. It was inevitable that the two should meet. And at last when that night came, Trueboy ran ahead of the wolf pack, only to be cornered high on Table Rock. Old Roarer alone dared to take him on. And the two slashed and pivoted, chopped and whirled again and again in the eerie light of the winter moon, for both knew that only one would come down alive.…
