A propos de cet article

[Town Guide] SECOND EDITION, a later issue. Octavo (16 x 10cm), pp.[12] 48; 45-60; 49-112; xii; 113-320. With 11 engraved plates including a frontispiece and calligraphic dedication. Re-bound in the twentieth-century in brown full calf, with raised bands, gilt titles to a burgundy label. All edges trimmed. Gently toned throughout, and top edge closely trimmed in places, otherwise internally clean. A little light wear to binding. Very good. A copy which collates as per Goulden 10 (circa 1787), but with a title page dated 1780, the year this popular and frequently re-printed guide was first issued. Goulden, 'Kent Town Guides', 10.
