Synopsis :

The dictionary is divided into two parts: Tagalog English and English Tagalog, with over 20,000 entries covering everyday words that are used in educational, work-related and tourist situations. For each entry, in addition to giving all useful definitions, information is given on the part of speech, common collocations and the pronunciation of the word. The Introduction at the front provides a guide to pronunciation as well as other grammar pointers and explanations.

À propos de l?auteur: Joi barrios has a Ph.D. in Filipino (Philippine Literature) and is currently teaching at the University of California, berkeley. She is the author of several books, among them Tagalog for beginners (Tuttle Publishing, 2011) and intermediate Tagalog (Tuttle Publishing).

Nenita Pambid Domingo is the head of the Filipino Program in the South and Southeast Asian Languages and Cultures Program at the University of California at Los Angeles and a lecturer in the Asian Languages and Cultures Department there. She has been a Government Exchange Professor at Peking University, teaching all levels of Filipino language, and has taught Filipino language, literature, and culture at University of the Philippines UP (Quezon City and Manila), Loyola Marymount University, California at Long beach, and the University of Southern California. She lives in Los Angeles.
