Stated, Second Impression 1955, to the copyright page. Very gently read. Red cloth boards. Gilt titles to spine are a bit faded. Gently rubbed to extremities, more so the corners. Few small spots to boards with some light discolouration to the bottom third of the spine. Interior is quite clean with an occasional finger smudge. 1cn x 3cm spot to the bottom fore-edge of the last page and 2.5cm x 2.5 cm spot to the gutters at the bottom edge of pp.172 & 173. Lacking the map to the rear. Light red top edge. 352 pp. Without dustjacket.
