Sewn binding in lithographic printed paper over boards with original design by Picasso featuring mirrored-matchbooked ponytail figures of his muse, Sylvette David / Lydia Corbett. Double issue featuring 180 drawings by Picasso made in Vallauris during the Winter of 1953/'54. With centerfold color lithograph frontispiece and 12 additional color lithograph plates. With the scarce dust jacket, which has kept this copy exceptionally clean and sharp. DJ spine chipped at head, gashed mid-spine, still clean and bright otherwise, wrapped in mylar; Book itself is uncommonly sound and fresh.
