Qian Songyan (1898-1985), a native of Yixing (Jiangsu province), learned painting from his father when young. After 1949, he taught at Art Academies in Suzhou (Soochow) and Wuxi (Wushi). He was exhibited within China and abroad, including, after his death, at the Himalayas Art Museum in Shanghai and at the National Art Museum of China in Dongcheng (Beijing). Many of his works have been sold at auction (in 2011, his work "Zun Yi" was sold for $ 795,660). He was deputy to the National People's Congress / Qian Songyan (1898-1985), né à Yixing (Jiangsu), fut initié dès sa jeunesse à la peinture par son père. Après la Révolution de 1949, il enseigna dans les Académies de Suzhou (Soutchéou) et de Wuxi (Wuhsi). Il a été exposé en Chine et à l'étranger et notamment, après sa mort, au Musée d'Art Himalayen à Shanghai et au Musée National d'Art de Chine à Dongchen (Beijing).
