The sea isn’t always bluer on the other side.

When Calliope seeks out the truth about the history of the royal family of the mer, she learns she can transform into a human. She travels through a portal to the human realm of Elswyth, leaving behind her life as a princess.

On the other side of the portal, she is greeted by her long lost uncle, Arik. Her mother kept everything about him a secret, so she is surprised when her uncle steals her magic and leaves her to die.

With the return of The Delmari, a dangerous sea monster, Killian Darksea travels to the island where it all began to finish what his grandfather started. He is shocked to find a woman stranded on the island that the monster claims as his own.

The two quickly realize they have more in common than expected—specifically, they discover that their enemy is one in the same. Calliope teams up with the Darksea pirates to get vengeance on the man who stole everything from her.

When her uncle conjures a storm and threatens to drown the world, will the little mermaid and the pirate Captain be able to stop the rains before it is too late?
