A propos de cet article

Four large folio sheets produced by John Randle to demonstrate the use of Baskerville and Bell typefaces at The Whittington Press. Extracts from two books published by the press - both text and illustrations. A Boy at the Hogarth Press (1972) and Allotments (1985). Printed on mould-made paper with untrimmed fore edges. Each sheet measures 520mm x 360mm, is folded in half and printed on both sides to give sixteen sample pages of the publisher's work. Slight crease to lower corner of last page. Otherwise in fine condition. Now protected in a clear archival wrapper. Will ship within cardboard sheets.

Description de la boutique

The Bookshop at Beech Cottage trades exclusively via the internet. I acquire most of my stock through a network of suppliers based in southern England. My particular interests are illustrated Private Press and modern Poetry. I also have a collection of Prospectuses and similar ephemera. I am careful to select only the better quality items for the Bookshop that are within my speciality and pass on those that are outside my remit. I am a former librarian and read for pleasure - as many booksellers do! I take great care of my books while they are staying at Beech Cottage and would only ask my customers that they do likewise. Happy reading!…
