William J. Cochran is a pediatric gastroenterologist and nutritionist at the Geisinger Clinic in Danville, Pennsylvania, where he has worked since 1987. In addition to his clinical practice Dr. Cochran is director of the Pediatric Weight Management Program at Geisinger, a multi-specialty program for overweight children and their families. He is also an active researcher and contributor at the state and national levels as a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics Task Force on Obesity and longtime Chairman of the Nutrition Committee of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the AAP. Dr. Cochran received his BA in biology prior to attending medical school at the Pennsylvania State University/Milton S. Hershey Medical Center College of Medicine. He is an experienced teacher and the author of numerous publications in the field of pediatric nutrition and weight management.
