A propos de cet article

Softcover. Vol.1, No. 2. Tall octavo. 16pp. Staple-bound pamphlet with nicely printed brown wrappers. Scarce periodical published in Oakland, California. Many articles and news items concerning women including projects to provide new clothing for young women on probation, help for women wanting to escape prostitution, and an update on women's education. One section is devoted to "Club Notes", highlighting the activities of various women's clubs, such as The California Writers Club, Franklin School Mothers' Club, etc. There is a short note regarding the extradition of the notorious bigamist, "Sir Harry Cooper", from South Africa. Also included is an appreciation of Joaquin Miller and his homestead, "The Hights" by Marian Taylor. The pamphlet is in nice condition except spotting to some center pages (something splashed). Quite scarce.
