Historically repaired to the spines with new spines to the old boards. Paulet St John-Mildmay (1791–1845) was an English Whig Party politician. He sat in the House of Commons as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Winchester from 1818 to 1835, and from 1837 to 1841. Approximately 12 inches tall (31cm). Condition Report Externally Spine – good condition – gilt titles to red labels, worn and marked, structurally sound. Joints – good condition – worn and rubbed, historically repaired to all the volumes. Corners – fair condition – bumped and worn. Boards – fair to good condition – nice thick boards, scratched, marked and worn. Page edges – good condition – all page edges tanned, dust darkened to the tops. See above and photos. Internally Hinges – good condition – sound, repaired. Paste downs – good condition – marbled, bookplate. End papers – good condition – marbled. Title – good condition – tanned with some foxing. Pages – good condition – tanned with some foxing. See photos.
