Historically repaired to the spines with new spines to the old boards. Gilt titles to red leather labels, rubbed and worn boards, corners rubbed, bumped and worn, internally tanned but generally clean, offsetting from the plates. Paulet St John-Mildmay (1791–1845) was an English Whig Party politician. He sat in the House of Commons as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Winchester from 1818 to 1835, and from 1837 to 1841. Approximately 12 inches tall (31cm). Condition Report Externally Spine – good condition – gilt titles to red labels, worn and marked, structurally sound. Joints – good condition – worn and rubbed, historically repaired to all the volumes. Corners – fair condition – bumped and worn. Boards – fair to good condition – nice thick boards, scratched, marked and worn. Page edges – good condition – all page edges tanned, dust darkened to the tops. See above and photos. Internally Hinges – good condition – sound, repaired. Paste downs – good condition – marbled, bookplate. End papers – good condition – marbled. Title – good condition – tanned with some foxing. Pages – good condition – tanned with some foxing. See photos.
