Présentation de l'éditeur
It is especially addressed to members of Local A uthorities, Midwives, District and other Nurses, School Teachers, and the large body of Health Visitors and other helpers in Public Health work, both voluntary and paid. But I hope that it may not only serve as a guide to those who are already interested in the subject, but may lead many others to see how largely the weal of the nation is dependent upon the welfare of the expectant mother. In compiling the book I have derived much help from the writings of Sir Arthur Newsholme, Dr. Janet Campbell, Dr. Routh, Dr. Shadick Higgins, Miss Rosalind Paget, and others. I should also like to offer my grateful thanks to the Publishers for invaluable help in passing the book through the press. MARY SCHARLIEB.
