1840. No Edition Remarks. 175 pages. No dust jacket. Dark brown cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Split to spine and joint with exposed binding. Deckled text block edges. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper and paste-down, with a few small nicks and creases along text block edge. Moderate crinkling and cracking to hinges and gutters with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Minor dog-eared and torn corners. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with mild bumping and scuffing to corners, and rubbing to surfaces. Split to spine and joint with exposed binding. Moderate tanning to spine and edges.
