When Someone Deeply Listens to You, describes what it feels like to be truly heard. Using vibrant language and beautiful imagery, each turn of the page describes how a child feels when deeply listened to. There are 18 emotions including courageous, connected, loved, empowered etc.

Because children learn through experimentation, the book asks, "How do you feel when someone listens to you?" as a poem writing prompt. This is followed by fun hands-on activities to expand language, teach listening skills and intuitive listening. All are appropriate for the home, library or classroom.

The book acts as a catalyst for educators and caregivers to bring awareness of how we listen to one another. This is a vital skill in creating a safe, trustworthy bridge of communication between adults and children. By teaching the importance of truly listening to one another at a young age, this book will help children grow with an awareness that listening is an integral part of honest, heartfelt communication. The book offers a unique parenting philosophy that honors the integrity of childhood, with the goal to create children who are self-empowered, self-disciplined, and self-motivated.Because children learn through experimentation, both books contain creative hands-on activities and guided conversations to teach their vital message.Marcie lives with her husband in Massachusetts. When she isn't writing she may be doing numerology readings, photographing treasures of Cape Cod, or riding her bike along the bike path over the Sippewissett marsh in Falmouth, Massachusetts. She is the proud mother of two sons and three stepchildren.
