McGraw, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. First edition. Very scarce. A triangle-story concerning David Bryant, a commercial artist buried alive in a provincial industrial town, Sally, his level-headed wife, and the young Carla, who always gets what she wants and means to have David. Written by Hugh P. McGraw, a British romance novelist. Previously held in the library of Pearn, Pollinger & Higham, an English firm of literary agents that represented Graham Greene, Paul Scott and James Herriot, among others. In the original red cloth binding. Externally, smart with light bumping to the extremities and minor fading to the spine. Original unclipped dust wrapper is worn and in two pieces split at the spine. Chipping to the extremities resulting in loss to the head and tail of the spine as well as the front panel. Sunning to the spine with light spotting to the panels and the odd small closed tear.
