Second edition (same month as the first). Frontispiece by Graham Robertson. [viii.], 302 pp., blank, printer's details on verso. In original blue/green gilt lettered and decorated cloth. Top edge gilt, others uncut. Unrestored with original tissue guard. A couple of marks to spine and lower board; wear to spine ends and corner of upper board, where the gilt is bright, other extremities bumped. Staining to pages 32-50 and 273-280, otherwise spotting is occasional and minor. Ink inscription at blank prelim, dated Christmas 1908. A very good and bright copy of the swiftly produced second edition of one of the most cherished works in English literature, which was such an immediate hit with the public. 8vo.
