13th printing hardcover in soiled light green cloth covered boards with red titles and mushroom illustration on frt board. Spine ends bumped, tips fairly sharp. No names or tears, is not ex-library and is clean save for a bit of soil on the 214 page block fore edge. Rep states "I got this book in 1977" and there is a blue ink stamp on the fep that says "Literature Pkt, No., Copy No." Un-clipped color illustrated facsimile dust jacket has price crossed out and another one written on frt flap. It shows chips at spine ends taking part of the word The in the title and Little Brown at the foot of dj spine, as well as a triangular chip in the head of the front panel that took the top half of the letter F in Flight. Jacket shows two boys following a green alien looking man through the mushroom forest with a large bright earth off in the distance behind them, displays well in new mylar. Chuck and David gasped. There, in the telescope, a tiny greenish dot appeared, shining through the vast black of outer space. The mysterious little man spoke: "I should like you two boys to set off this very night for the Mushroom Planet!" "Tonight?" repeated Chuck faintly, "But how." David began.
