His dramatic career flourished over the next two decades before his death in 1718.These two volumes include 'The Royal Convert', 'Jane Shore', 'Jane Grey', 'Poems of Several Occasions', 'The Ambitious Step-Mother', 'Tamerlane', 'The Fair Penitent', and 'Ulysses'. In a full calf binding. Externally, generally smart. Light rubbing to the joints and extremities. A small amount of loss to the head of the spine of Volume II. Minor bumping to the extremities. Spines are lightly discoloured. A few minor marks to the boards. Prior owner's ink to the front paste down of Volume I, and to the recto of the front free endpaper of Volume II.
