'The Biographical Edition' featuring "Vanity Fair". In very good minus bright red cloth boards, initials of author in gilt to front and titles to spine. The boards are flat and tight; spine sunned and spine ends bumped and slightly frayed; small kink to front fore edge. The black end papers are unmarked. The text block is illustrated in black and white by The Author and includes a frontispiece of Thackeray with quite clean tissue guard. The top cut edge is in gilt and the fore and tail edges are marked and deckled. The pages are level and secure, the prelims and some of the pages are lightly foxed.Slight vertical crease to prelims and Introduction. One of the illustrated pages is detached. A few pages are uncut. Very good minus condition. No dedications etc. Publisher's list to rear. Without jacket.
