A propos de cet article

Description :

A very good copy of the 2nd impression of Yew Hall in a good to very good dust jacket. This is Lucy Boston's first work for adults and it is a strange haunting story of difficult relationships culminating in tragedy, in a house dating back to the Crusades - based on her own property - The Manor House, Hemingford Grey. The house, gardens and Fenland setting are an active backdrop to the events. The red cloth binding has black titles to the spine and is bright and clean. There is fading along the edges, with a slight indentation on the top edge of the back board. The corners are turned inwards with bumps at the corner tips. There is light pulling to the spine ends and a bump at the bottom of the front spine joint. Internally there is an ink inscription on the front free endpaper. The contents are complete and very clean. There are a few spots on the foredge. The dust jacket is not price clipped, but the original price of 10s 6d net on the front flap is crossed out. It is generally clean with some browning along the edges (mostly visible at the flaps and the top of the back panel) and folds. There is edge nibbling and some small edge tears, with slight loss at the fold ends and the top and bottom of the spine. It is in a removable protective wrap. Please enquire if you would like to see additional images. N° de réf. du vendeur 033478
