1970 first edition, Herron School of Art / Indiana Univ. (Indianapolis, Indiana), loose 7 7/8 x 10 inches tall leaves on fine paper (printed only on verso side) in a black portfolio folder housed by a white card slipcase, unpaginated, [100] ff. Edgewear to several of the leaves, with creasing to the tops of a couple of leaves. Otherwise, a very good set in a very stained and edgeworn slipcase with a couple of splits. Uncommon. ~TT~ [3.0P] A significant exhibition and portfolio collection from the Herron School of Art and Design at Indiana University. This collection was part of a recurring series (with a notable predecessor in 1967) aimed at showcasing the work of talented undergraduate and graduate printmakers from across the United States. It spans traditional and experimental printmaking techniques taught at Herron, including: * Intaglio and Relief: Etching, engraving, and woodcuts. * Lithography and Silkscreen: Professional-grade screen printing and stone lithography. * Experimental Work: Early 1970s printmakers were beginning to experiment with photorealistic frameworks and social critiques.
