The prints list different types of electric machines and their inventors or manufacturers, along with the year of their invention or manufacture. The list is divided into six sections, each titled "Electric Machines" followed by a Roman numeral. The first section, "Electric Machines I," includes the magnetoelectric machine by Pixii, 1832, the machine by Clarke, 1832, the machine by Elias, 1841, the magnetoelectric machine by Pacinotti, 1865, the machine by Ladd, 1866, Stöhrer's rotary apparatus with three upright magnets and six induction coils, 1844, Nollet's magnetoelectric machine built by the company L'Alliance, 1859, and the cylinder inductor by Werner Siemens, 1857, with an inductor in cross section. The second section, "Electric Machines II," lists Siemens' light machine, the dynamoelectric machine by Gramme, the flat ring machine by Schuckert, the dynamo machine by Kummer u. Komp, the DC machine by Siemens u. Halske for belt drive, the dynamo machine by Edison improved by Hopkinson, and the four-pole DC machine with external poles built by the Allgemeine Elektrizitäts-Gesellschaft. The third section, "Electric Machines III," lists a steam engine by Borsig coupled with a dynamo machine by Siemens u. Halske. The fourth section, "Electric Machines IV," includes the three-phase AC dynamo machine of the Allgemeine Elektrizitäts-Gesellschaft (A. E. G.), the three-phase AC dynamo machine of the A. E. G. with a coupled exciter machine, and the three-phase AC motor 'HD' of the A. E. G. with slip rings. The fifth section, "Electric Machines V," lists the dynamo machine by Lahmeyer, an electromagnet with nine pole shoes, an anchor with 18 porcelain cores, AC machines by Mordey, Körting's gas-powered dynamo machine, Schuckert's four-pole DC machine (hoist motor), the Örlikon-Dynamo machine, and the arc light machine by Thomson-Houston, with a cross section labeled 7a. The sixth and final section, "Electric Machines VI," lists a three-phase AC flywheel machine by Siemens u. Halske. Approximate Overall Sizes: (2)12 X 9 1/2 inches . 9 1/2 x 6 ins. With Centerfolds.
