Depicts a battering ram with the face of Daniel O'Connell borne by Earl Russell as leader, George Howard, Earl of Carlisle; Thomas Spring Rice, Baron Monteagle; Henry Petty-Fitzmaurice, Marquess of Landsdown; John William Ponsonby, Earl of Bessborough; Henry Richard Fox, Baron Holland; Charles Grant, Baron Gleneig; Charles Pepys, Earl Cottenham threatening the house of Lords defended by The Duke of Wellington and John Copley, Baron Lyndhurst [John Doyle was born in Dublin and moved to London in 1822 where he initially worked as a portrait lithographer. In 1827 Doyle began publishing political prints anonymously. From 1829-1851 Doyle published his well-known Political Sketches series, signing his work with the initials "HB" to hide his identity.] [QP].
