A propos de cet article
Cirencester, known as the "Capital of the Cotswolds," is a historic market town in Gloucestershire, England, renowned for its well-preserved Roman heritage at the Corinium Museum, characterized by charming streets, independent shops, and a bustling market square; notable landmarks include the magnificent medieval Church of St. John the Baptist with its soaring spire, while beautiful parks and gardens, including Cirencester Park surrounding the grand Bathurst Estate, add to the town's allure, serving as a cultural hub for the Cotswolds with various events and festivals, and providing a convenient base for exploring the surrounding countryside and attractions like the Cotswold Water Park, ultimately offering a blend of rich history, natural beauty, and modern amenities, making it a sought-after destination for those desiring a taste of traditional English charm in the heart of the Cotswolds. This vintage bookplate print was executed by the Edwardian artist George Nicholls who exhibited 1885-1937 and was a watercolour and flower painter. The image measures approximately 4 X 5 1/2 inches, with an overall page size of 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 inches. The print is in very good condition, boasting vivid and clean colors, displaying a pleasing depth and tonal range. It is unmarked on the reverse, printed on high-quality glossy paper, and would undoubtedly be a stunning addition when appropriately framed. NOTE THE FOLLOWING BEFORE YOU PURCHASE: This is a GENUINE ANTIQUE VINTAGE PRINT. It is NOT a modern reproduction, ie. a laser scan, photocopy etc. It is the original from the antique or vintage atlas or book publication. The print I have for sale, like many antique vintage prints and maps that you see online, originate from an antique vintage book or atlas publication. The publication may not always be known. If you have any questions, emails are welcome. Picture Frame is for online display puposes only and not included with purchase.
