Marc Goergen

Marc Goergen is Professor of Finance at IE Business School, Madrid, and a Research Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI). Previous appointments include UMIST, Manchester University, Manchester Business School, and the Universities of Cardiff, Reading and Sheffield. Marc has extensively published in the area of corporate governance including three research monographs and numerous papers in academic journals such as the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Intermediation, the Journal of Corporate Finance and European Financial Management. Marc is an associate editor of the British Journal of Management, the Journal of Corporate Finance, European Financial Management, and the European Journal of Finance. Marc is also a former member of the Corporate Governance Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Marc's popular textbook on corporate governance ("International Corporate Governance" - published by Pearson Financial Times in 2012) is now available in an updated version ("Corporate Governance. A Global Perspective" - published by Cengage in 2018).
