JoAnn Hornak

JoAnn Hornak is a lover of words and former lawyer. Having spent most of her life in humid or freezing Wisconsin (on the Great Lakes), she loves her current home in the beautiful Napa Valley, where she lives with her husband and their two very lucky dogs who get to romp through gorgeous vineyards—although they don’t seem to care about the view.

JoAnn enjoys writing novels, especially romantic comedy, women's fiction and suspense. She has had essays published in Newsweek magazine, the Washington Post, and the anthology, Sand in My Bra and Other Misadventures: Funny Women Write from the Road.

JoAnn has tried stand-up comedy, but discovered she is funnier on the page than on the stage.
