Gad Shimron was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, 1950.

In the 70's and 80's served in Mossad, the foreign intelligence service of the State of Israel.

Various posts as anchorman in Israeli TV morning shows and radio stations.

European correspondent of "Maariv" Daily in the 1990's.

Author of several fiction and non-fiction books in Hebrew:

* The Mossad and its Myth (French version: Hisroire Secrete du Mossad).

* The Liquidation of the Hangman of Riga (together with "Anton Kuenzle"), about the only Mossad operation to liquidiate a Nazi criminal. Translated to English and German.
