Benoît Challand
Benoit Challand est professeur associé de sociologie auprès de la New School for Social Research, New York. Il a obtenu son doctorat à l''Institut Universitaire Européen de Florence en 2005. Dans le passé, il a été professeur assistant à New York University (Kevorkian Center for Near East Studies), professeur associé en sociologie à la Scuola Normale Superiore de Florence et professeur ordinaire d'histoire contemporaine à l'Université de Fribourg. Il est l'auteur de: Violence and Representation in the Arab Uprisings (Cambridge University Press, 2023), et Palestinian Civil Society. Foreign Donors and the Power to Promote and Exclude (Routledge, 2009). Il a co-dirigé plusieurs ouvrages, dont The Arab Uprisings and Foreign Assistance (avec F. Bicchi et S. Heydemann, Routledge 2016), et co-rédigé avec Chiara Bottici: Imagining Europe: Myth, Memory and Identity (Cambridge University Press 2013).
