Leslie Anne Perry

Leslie Anne Perry was born in New York, and has lived in Texas, Missouri, California, Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee. Currently, she and her husband live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. She received a B.S.E. in elementary education from Central Methodist College, an M.S. in early childhood education from East Texas State University, and a Ph.D. in elementary education with a specialization in reading from the University of Mississippi. She was a public school teacher for 13 years, and is now a professor emerita in the Clemmer College of Education at East Tennessee State University, where she taught children's literature and language arts for 20 years. She is the author or co-author of four traditionally published books, two traditionally published tests, 40 self-published books, and 68 articles in 58 different journals and magazines.
