Diana has written and published a large number of short stories and articles. Her work has been published in Australia, the UK and USA. She edits, writes and reviews for the Californian online magazine, Kings River Life. Diana also Beta reads occasionally.

Her first novel, The Naked Room, was published in 2010.

Diana says, "The premise for Naked Room came about while I was presenting Thursday Night Concert. The question occurred to me - what would happen if a classical concert pianist didn't turn up for a major concert? There would have to be a darned good reason, so I set myself out to invent one!"

Her next crime novel, The Celibate Mouse, was developed during the last year of writing The Naked Room and both are available on Amazon USA, Canada, UK, Europe and worldwide in e-book and paperback for kindle apps.

In 2008, the Hockleys visited Tasmania and while there, attended the Tasman Cup Working Sheepdog Championship. During the proceedings, Diana realised that a competitor would make a good target when he stood at the last pen. Hence the first line of The Celibate Mouse:

"There is no mistaking the crack of a high-powered rifle."

Things go downhill from there!
